En el mes que se firm\u00f3 el acuerdo de la Fase 1 entre China y USA, la soja en Chicago posici\u00f3n enero bajo 90 centavos (33 u$s\/t). Y si bien los gr\u00e1ficos desaceleraron la ca\u00edda recientemente, el panorama general de mercado contin\u00faa siendo negativo.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Las compras que no llegaron a USA luego del anuncio de la Fase 1, seguidos por el A\u00f1o Nuevo Lunar Chino y la grave situaci\u00f3n del corona virus, son factores que no muestran un plan de demanda creciente en el inmediato.<\/p>\n

Por su parte, Brasil lleva un 7% del \u00e1rea de soja cosechada mientras que el a\u00f1o pasado el avance era de 17%. Sin embargo, a pesar del retraso en la cosecha, los rendimientos reportados muestran hasta un 15% de incremento respecto al a\u00f1o pasado en Mato Grosso. Brasil busca un valor de producci\u00f3n cercano a 124 mill de t de soja, Argentina tambi\u00e9n incrementa su estimaci\u00f3n y Sudam\u00e9rica en conjunto podr\u00eda aportar 190 mill de t.<\/p>\n

Brasil contin\u00faa destacando las ventas tanto en marzo como en abril de soja a China. Brasil es 3 d\u00f3lares m\u00e1s barato que USA incluso sin contar las tarifas, lo que hace que se vea muy dif\u00edcil para USA competir en este momento. Los embarques comprometidos de soja de Brasil muestran que casi 7 mill de t se exportaran en febrero. Esto ser\u00eda r\u00e9cord muy por encima de los 5,3 exportados en febrero del a\u00f1o pasado. L\u00f3gicamente, la gran mayor\u00eda de esos barcos son destino China.<\/p>\n

Las bases mundiales de ma\u00edz continuaron subiendo, ubic\u00e1ndose en los niveles m\u00e1s altos para principios de febrero dentro de los \u00faltimos 5 a\u00f1os. El ma\u00edz argentino es el m\u00e1s barato con destino a sudeste asi\u00e1tico, seguido de Ucrania y US PNW. Los pa\u00edses mediterr\u00e1neos deber\u00edan seguir comprando ma\u00edz ucraniano, incluso hasta abril. Ahora bien, con una mayor debilidad en el transporte mar\u00edtimo (debido al coronavirus) USA y Argentina podr\u00edan competir en estos destinos tambi\u00e9n.<\/p>\n

Lo importante a destacar es que durante el mes de febrero se promediaran los futuros de ma\u00edz diciembre CZ20 y soja noviembre SX20 para confeccionar los seguros agr\u00edcolas. Como referencia el promedio de los \u00faltimos 5 a\u00f1os, el seguro de ma\u00edz se calcul\u00f3 con futuros de entre 386 y 415 CZ, y 885-1019 en soja SX, estando los valores actuales en esos rangos.<\/p>\n

El reporte del USDA ser\u00e1 la pr\u00f3xima semana y el mercado esperar\u00e1 que utilicen datos de la Fase 1 para inflar la demanda de las hojas de balance de USA. Sin dudas, con las bajas experimentadas en los futuros, tomamos esta situaci\u00f3n como momento de compra por disciplina para quienes tienen que hacerlo. El mercado no encuentra ventas en estos niveles, sobre todo con el 3 er pago de subsidios otorgados al Farmer en USA, por eso explicar las subas repentinas carecen de sustento.<\/p>\n
